Job Title : Accounting Manager
Organization : Studer Trust

Duties:
Studer Trust seeks a dynamic, experienced accounting manager to manage all the finance matters and report on all financial matter and report to Studer Trust Board in Hong Kong to ensure accountability and efficiently the work of Studer Trust in Myanmar. This full-time position will be based at Studer Trust's TTC facility in Mandalay’s Salay Monastery, with travel throughout the local area and country as needed.

Accounting Manager Qualifications:
The successful accounting manager will demonstrate a knowledge of best practices in accounting, produces monthly financial reports and statement preparations, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, etc., and perform other duties as assigned or required. The successful applicant will also make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures, and resolves complex accounting issues or assists other team member’s personnel in resolving financial accounting. The successful applicant will also demonstrate an ability to manage a variety of responsibilities and roles in a small office/NGO environment.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities and Duties:
Under the direct supervision of the Country Director, the accounting Manager will
. Oversees daily accounting activities required to maintain the general ledger and bookkeeping. .  . Cash management including payments, reconcile cash on hand and banks by monthly and annually.
. Responsible for monthly/quarterly and annual finance reports.
. Provide annually submissions in coordination with tax officers for INGO status
. Provide the budgeting reports for monthly and yearly.
. Coordinate with Hong Kong Auditor for Accounting Standard and Financial Statements.
. Performed other works, which are work-related, as assigned.


Financial Policies, procedures and Development
• Coordinate the evaluation, reporting, and adaption of (internal) financial policies and procedures to ensure the needs of participants, community partners, and Studer Trust’s mission, standards, and goals are consistently met
• Financial Internal Control Process and to develop and establish financial policies and procedures as needed

Communication
• Assist the Country Director preparing budget and annual financial statements.

Teamwork and Collaboration
• Assist, as possible, in any other activities (specially school opening events) that promote the mission of Studer Trust in Myanmar
• Assist and support the work, efforts, and responsibilities of the Country Director, Operation team members, TTC team members and Construction crews as appropriate
• Work to remain flexible and open in a position with a variety of evolving responsibilities and roles
• Work to create a collaborative, supportive, and professional working environment

Essential:
• Language: Native Myanmar Language user, Good level of written and spoken English
• Experience: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Accounting and 5-10 years of experience in finance field and has skill of accounting technique, good knowledge and ability in the use of a personal computer and software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, etc.), advanced Excel skill, Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records
• Experience: Strong understanding of Generally Myanmar Accounting Standard with strong interest or some knowledge in IFRS
• Experience: Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly regarding presenting the results of analyses to management
• Experience: Ability to effectively direct and supervise other team to promote proper Internal Control Process and to develop and establish financial policies and procedures
• Experience: Ability to analyze financial data and to prepare accurate reports and good knowledge of policies and practices associated with payroll and benefits administration, knowledge of operating and capital budget concept
• Ability to work independently, with little supervision

Desired but not essential:
• Experience: Familiarity with issues facing Myanmar’s monastic schools, experience working in education sector in Myanmar.
